For Those Who Have Written

Today is my annual house cleaning day (motto: "whether it needs it or not"). While I was busy crawling out from under the dust rhinos and leveraging two tons of cat hair into my garbage bin, I ran across a cartoon that I had clipped out of the newspaper some long ago time.

The protagonist in the story is a writer who is struggling to get past her writer's block. Given what inexplicably strange nonsense I have written in the past month, I felt a kinship with this particular strip in which she presents her latest work. So, in the name of all things NaNoWriMo, I dedicate this to anyone who has ever written:

Doris: I don't get it either, which is what I love about it. It's so...obtuse. And weird. And so much like the strange things that come out of my brain, I feel a real kinship with it.

aj: "house clean"...um, I dunno.

Moi: I know. I know.

Magill: Thank you, my friend, I'm glad to know that it manages to translate to the visual mind.
